In this edition of the Sam Ross SUP Tuition Series, he shows us how to continue improving our stroke, by focusing on the start of the stroke, ensure the blade is fully in the water before you draw the paddle backwards, making sure the paddle is vertical and ensuring you sink your weight into the stroke to get additional power.

Marie Buchanan Successful At ISA SUP World Championships in Peru

Last week in Peru, Marie Buchanan did an amazing job at the ISA SUP World Championships. She finished an incredible 6th in the womans distance race and 5th in the women’s technical race.

She’s had been training hard on her Red Paddle Co 12’6 Race in the UK prior to the event. This was Marie’s first ever international event and the hard work paid off!

We are delighted to report that Marie Buchanan has just returned from the ISA SUP World Championships in Peru after coming 6th in the women’s distance race and 5th in the women’s technical race.

Marie achieved this amazing feat on a Red Paddle Co inﬂatable board, competing against full carbon race boards. Red Paddle Co’s mission is to produce boards that offer no compromise in performance, Marie’s achievements are testament to this. With reports of other competitors equipment being lost by the airlines or damaged in transport, the fact that Marie could carry her board with her meant she had no such worries.

Congrats Marie!

Surf Expo 2013 Orlando, FL

This year Surf Expo runs from January 10th – 12th in Orlando, Florida. Red Paddle Co North America are heading back down to Orlando to show off the new 2013 Range of Red Paddle Co Boards. This year there are 7 new boards in the range, for whether you want to surf, race or cruise your way around the water.
