FAQ’s
How Easy are they to Inflate?
You mean how Ezee are they to inflate, right? Using the Red Air Ezee Pump the Red Air Range are very easy to inflate. It will generally take someone 3-5 minutes to inflate the board to the required 15 psi.
Because the Ezee pump is a double action pump, the board inflated on the up and down stroke, you get twice the pumps for half of the effort. It should take around 140 stroked to get the pump to fully inflate.
How Easy are they to Deflate?
It will take around 20 seconds for the board to deflate once you release the valve. Once that is realeased you can begin to roll up the board from the opposite end, which should take about 2 minutes. Then you are on your way to the next great paddle boarding spot.
Why not Buy a Cheaper Inflatable Board?
There are cheaper inflatable boards out there, however these are constructed far more cheaply and will not give remotely the same performance. These boards are constructed using single layer construction, and will only inflate to 7-8psi, whereas Red Airs can take upwards of 30psi.
So with a cheaper board you are essentially getting an oversize water toy, with the performance of an air mattress. We want to supply you with a board we are proud of and that will do everything a hardboard will do except will give you the ease of portability and storage.
How durable are Red Paddle Boards?
They are made of amazingly tough and rigid material, which allows for an extremely durable board. I mean c’mon these boards can be run over by a car, hit with a baseball bat, jumped on repeatedly.
How do they Compare to Solid Paddle Boards?
They are totally comparable in most all environments and are optimal for flat water cruising. Red Air’s inflated to such a high pressure, they become extremely robust and rigid. Numerous paddler have been switching over to the Red Air boards because they do not lose any performance and gain portability.
Why Buy an Inflatable Board when I can buy a Solid Board?
Why spend $1500 and upwards on a solid board, when you can get a board that wont get dinged or damaged and offers more portability and comparible performance for less.
If we are honest, the only paddleboards out there under $1500 are either cheap copies from Chinese factories, with very average perfomance or second hand boards that have been used extensively and showing the signs of wear and tear. For a genuine high quality solid board you are looking at $1800 and upwards, sure if you want the ultimate in wave perfomance and are a hardcore paddle surfer, then you may have to look at these.
However for general use, Red Air Boards offer everything a solid board offers and more. Many hardcore paddlers have converted to Red Air Boards because they have seen how user friendly, durable and portable the boards are.
The trick is not to think of a robust Red Air Board as inferior or of less value than solids boards. You actually don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on getting the full paddle boarding experience.
How Small does the Red Air Board Fold Up?
The Red Air Boards fold up into a backpack sized package, and fits into the Red Carry Bag. Once the board is in the carry bag, you will also be able to fit the paddle and pump giving you one easy portable package that you could even take on the bus.
How Heavy are Red Air Boards?
The board itself is 26lbs, once you add the paddle and pump into the carry bag, it will weigh around 35lbs.
